LA VITA SPUNTINI

 

Next, I will be reviewing one of the most photographic dining spots and the best Italian tapas restaurants Glasgow has to offer, La Vita Spuntini.

Background

Despite having two locations I will be reviewing Spuntini located at 40 Gordon Street, which is in the perfect location in the heart of the city straight across from Glasgow Central Station and a central spot where you have a vast choice of bars surrounding to go for drinks after or if you’re looking to catch a quick bite before grabbing the train.

Spuntini is well known for its standout cherry blossom theme which is carried throughout both restaurants. The décor has made Spuntini a popular influencer dining spot where they can get cool pictures along with delicious Italian food. It is an extremely busy restaurant, and most times needs to be booked a couple weeks in advance because of the amazing service, choice of drinks and the endless food options. Every time I have visited Spuntini I have left with a smile on my face and had a great night.

Menu

Spuntini offer a menu filled with dishes that suit everyone whether your vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or just particular. They have a breakfast, daytime, and dinner menu and on holidays they have a fixed menu which is great for holiday parties and dinners. As far as food goes you can order anything from small 5” pizzas to Italian scotch eggs to mixed seafood platters. It is great value for money with each dish being very reasonably priced.

Whether you want a main to yourself or want tapas for the table to share, you will not be disappointed with what is sat down in front of you. I normally go for the tapas to share with friends and enjoy changing it up every time, but the Penne Salsiccia is my top choice always. I will attach a copy of the food menu below :

The drinks in Spuntini are so unique, they have gone above when creating the cocktail menu as every single cocktail has something special about it. Normally when purchasing cocktails, you feel as though you are wasting money on something not worth it but here that is the last thing on your mind. Besides cocktails Spuntini offers Italian bubbly on tap, jugs of Sangria, large selection of Italian wines and ice-cold beer. Again I will attach a copy of the drinks menu below:

Service

The service in Spuntini is one of the many things that would make you return. The staff are extremely attentive and have great personalities who all enjoying having a laugh with customers which gives Spuntini a welcoming feeling. The Staff all go above and beyond for you, whether it’s the effort put into cocktails, making special desserts on birthdays and anniversaries, or helping with the menu.

 Overall, I would recommend Spuntini to anyone as it has a great range of food and drinks, with great service. The central location and the atmosphere make it an ideal spot for everyone.
